How I knew…

I’ll update this section shortly.  I appreciate that some of the experiences I’ve had may be a little hard to believe, and I will be careful to pay respect to those involved in the telling, particularly where anonymity is needed. They are the very moments which drove me to believe in spirit in the first place, and how I knew I had a very real connection I couldn’t ignore.

With some of these, particularly national events, it’s taken me a long time to try and work out why I was picking things up and what the purpose was, and I now believe it was simply to let me know I needed to recognise my skills as a medium and put them to good use.

As my day job is as an editor working in the news, it’s totally natural to me that they were using a method most natural to me to establish a connection, because of my ‘data bank’ and skill-set (headlines are how I work).

To be given these events as they actually happened and before they hit the news would be a natural way for spirit to get my attention in the early days!  They don’t need to do that in the same way now, so things tend to be a little less dramatic nowadays, although just as important in different ways.

Several times I’ve turned to my long-suffering husband to tell him what information I’ve been given, only to hear it on the news the next day. So does he believe? He does now!  I’m thrilled that my daughter is now also in development after giving him such evidential information that he looked stunned for hours.

Where do we get it from?  I believe everyone is intuitive and able to sense spirit, with some more open than others. I’ve often been told that I’m a 3rd generation medium, following in the footsteps of my grandmother and her sisters, although they’ve said that for them it was more about tea leaves and playing cards than the methods we use today!

Here’s what I’ll be talking about – pop back later to find out more:

The early days:

  • The Manchester Air Disaster
  • Kings Cross fire
  • 7/7 – Tavistock Square
  • Townshend Thoreson – Herald of Free Enterprise

  • My first experience of trance – Norfolk’isms from ‘bod/turnip’

More recently:

  • Man in a wardrobe
  • Paula pops back
  • The Water Tower

Funny moments:

  • Peace………., perfect peace………
