I have been a member of the Spiritual Development School in Watton since 2011 – please click here to find out more, or to ask them about me. During this time I have been lucky enough to be tutored by the simply amazing Sonia Driscoll, Penny Peace, and Donna Waring, and also regularly sit with Jane Diamond so consider her another wonderful mentor I have great respect for.
I sit in three circles regularly
- Mental mediumship (where we connect psychically or spiritually to bring contacts through, with a view to bringing evidence of the continuous existence of the human soul and comfort to loved ones)
- Trance mediumship (an altered state of consciousness, more of a blending with spirit – this is not possession, although we may speak as spirit would direct and take on other characteristics). This can bring through the essence of a loved one, or can sometimes deliver the most wonderful philosophy beyond the realms of the capability of the medium in normal circumstances – it’s more like having your loved one or spirit sitting in front of you!
- Physical mediumship (this is things which you would be able to see, hear or feel as a sitter; things which everyone present would be able to experience regardless of their development as this is physical manifestation and proof of spirit presence, such as items moving, direct voice, light, sound, etc). Physical mediumship sessions are also sometimes referred to as seances. Contrary to what you’ll see dramatised in films and on TV they are not scary or dabbling in anything bad. There’s nothing to be scared about in working with spirit, although sometimes the adrenalin and excitement of what we experience can overwhelm a few folks. In all sessions I attend we open up and close in prayer. Not for protection as that’s not needed, but in gratitude to the spirit world and to acknowledge and welcome them, as with any other guest at an event.

For the past year I have been lucky enough to sit for Jane Diamond, both in Norwich and at The Lighthouse in Watton, and also regularly attend experimental physical seances as a sitter.
Other educational interests:
I have an interest in psychology and am now on the second stage of my studies, taking an advanced level diploma in my spare time. I also have an interest in criminal and forensic psychology in written and spoken form, and that interest was sparked by some of the information I have picked up over the years.
